| Hello,
I was lucky enough to recently purchase a few Kiev 16U and 16UE cameras. I had read about these cameras and was keento get my hands on one. Of the cameras I bought, only one was working. I dismantled, cleaning, and lubricated two so far, a 16U and 16UE. I considered the design to be very good, and after the clean and lubricate, the cameras both run perfectly. Pretty good considering they are almost 50 years old. Despite the weight, they are an easy camera to use and service.
As usual, when i take a camera apart I document and photograph the process for future people who might want to fix their camera, in this case the 16U and 16UE.
